2014: the year of the horse according to the Chinese, although I think it’s going to be more of a dog’s year. This January has not only brought with it my perennial New Year’s resolutions to give up the bonios but a budding new career opportunity.
Next time you are in your local shop/ WH Smiths/ supermarket, pop to the magazine section and pick yourself up a copy of Dog’s Monthly. Flick your way through to the ‘True-Life Tale’ and there you will find my first double page magazine shoot. The article in question documents my precocious rise up through the ranks of my gundog training classes and Director Sarah’s stubborn, can do attitude that led her to be labelled as a “remarkable dog owner for whom there is no such word as can’t”. We’ve been working hard together to turn me into an assistance dog for Sarah for when she drops her keys or something is out of reach and needs fetching. Most of the time I think I’m pretty good at it, although Sarah can be quite fussy about what she wants me to get for her. I still haven’t worked out why she doesn’t want me fetching her iPhone...
And so it is onwards and upwards from here. Next stop, Crufts. Before long Andrex will have dropped the puppies and I’ll be in there. I will be sure to document my rise to stardom on the Web Usability website.
Happy New Year everyone!
